A Juicy Look at America’s Favorite Fruit
The Washington Apple Commission Visitors Center in Wenatchee offers a look at the state’s largest agricultural industry. More than 1,700 Washington tree fruit growers, from the Canadian border to the Oregon border, produce billions of pounds of fruit, including apples, cherries, and soft fruits such as peaches. In apple production alone, Washington is by far the national leader, providing more than half the fresh apples eaten in America.
